Objective: 

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

The course will enable the students to- 

  1. Learn about the historical origin of indian aesthetics.
  2. Understand about indian philosophers and their theories.
  3. Be able to appreciate and criticize a work of art on the basis of its elements and principles.
  4. Summarize the relationship between art, philosophy and aesthetics.

The students will –

CO118:  Build up an understanding of the aesthetics and its application in varied art forms.

CO119: Evaluate the theories given by Indian philosophers and its application while visualizing a work of art.

CO120: Assess the qualities of works of art in their historical and cultural settings through the use of theories given by aestheticians.
