Objective: 

The course will enable the students to construct finished compositions with a display of understanding basics of anatomy, proportions, textures etc. They will be able to understand how to compose in 3D, building their knowledge of combining two or more forms together.

Composition in Round I (Practical)

CO59: Developing Maquettes and layouts explaining the final works.

CO60: Prepare a submission displaying her developed skill set understanding of a 3D composition train themselves to construct armature building, sculpting, molding, casting and finishing the composition 

CO61: Justify her attained skills of composition and medium developed by arguing and answering questions in a viva problem-solving skills when they work in their own studios. 

CO62:  Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction. 

 

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.

Learning activities for the students:

Sketching, layouting , Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks,  Field practical, handling of matrix, printing press and tools, giving tasks to create sketches, layouts

Layouts and Sketches, Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End Examination, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submission.

COURSE CONTENT: 

Process of Terracotta – clay preparation, handling and firing

SUBMISSIONS: 3 compositions in a round.
