Objective: 

The course will enable the students to-

  2. Introductory study of the importance of working with colour, effects, textures with practical exercise in class

The students will -

 

CO69:  Construct the process of creating their own concept as multiple editions of prints.

 

CO70:  To explore different tools, layers, masks used for editing.

 

CO71:  Recognize use of various tools, effects, layers, masks, to manipulate and create their own art forms digitally.

 

CO72:  To accustom with manipulating the images according to the art they want to create

 

CO73: Color selection and conversion as it relates to both Web and business publications.

 

CO74: Design and develop different kind of art works like digital painting, matte paintings etc.

Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.

Sketching, lay outing , Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks,  Field practical, handling of matrix, printing press and tools, giving tasks to create sketches, layouts.

Introduction to the software – Photoshop

Its importance in creating painting

 Understanding and Use of the tools

Create and manipulate paintings and pictures according to the subject chosen for the composition.

  3. Making Photoshop Selections: Marquee tools, Lasso tools, Quick Selection, Magic Wand tool.
  4. Working with Images
  1. Working with Layers and Masks                                           
  2. Working with Text: Horizontal, Vertical.
  3. Typography
  4. Painting and Retouching: Clone tool, Stamp tool, Pattern Stamp tool, Dodge tool, Burn tool, Sharp tool, Smudge tool, Red-eye tool.
  1. Image Editing (Photo manipulation)
  2. Slicing and Saving for Print and the Web.
  3. Photo restoration

 

Submission: 5 Photo Restorations

5 Photo manipulations (on any Theme)
