CO159: Develop layouts Identify the interface and become efficient with navigation

 

CO160:   Create a portfolio displaying their software skills to design basic 3D Concepts like meshes, textures, digital sculpting principles etc. Learn to digitally sculpt objects directly from life through observation of form, volume and texture to develop artworks in accordance with global needs.

 

CO161:  Defend the aesthetic sensibility and compositional talents demonstrated in the composition by developing a professional code of behavior for the global industry.

 

CO162: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.

Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks, Field practical, handling of software.

Layouts and Sketches, Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End Examinations, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submissions.

 

 

COURSE CONTENT:

Foundations in Digital Sculpting

  1. Overview of interface and navigation.
  2. Basic 3D concepts: Meshes, textures, and digital sculpting principles.
  3. Introduction to brushes, tools, and their applications.
  4. Basic techniques: Adding, subtracting, and smoothing mesh.
  5. Understanding DynaMesh and its importance.
  6. Creating basic geometric shapes and forms.
  7. Techniques for accurately sculpting objects/forms from life.
  8. Understanding form, volume, and texture through observation.

 

SUBMISSIONS:  3 Sculpts of chosen objects from life in detail. (Images showing the progression of work)
