Objective: 

The course will enable the students to demonstrate advanced knowledge and skill in constructing original artworks. Use tools and techniques creatively to express thought processes, and construct complete artworks featuring two or more figures.

CO66:   Create layouts or maquettes for original artworks with coherent formal, conceptual, and procedural relationships to develop a unique artistic language.

 

CO67: Prepare a portfolio showcasing works of varying sizes, facilitating practice in essential sculptural skills. Demonstrate professional expertise in casting and mold-making processes to produce sculptures suitable for display, reflecting unique artistic patterns.

 

CO68: Validate their proficiency in expressing figurative sculpture and articulate their learning experience in preparing original sculpture.

 

CO69: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.

 

Learning activities for the students:

Sketching, lay outing , Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks, Field practical, handling of tools, machines, and casting and molding equipment.

Layouts and Sketches, Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End Examinations, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submissions.

 

COURSE CONTENT:

Student will prepare a creative sculpture based on figures in his own style using different techniques and mediums.

 

SUBMISSIONS: 3 works of 2’ minimum
