Objective: 

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

The course will enable the students to-

  1. Learn Western Art Movements.
  2. Examine and able to differentiate, analyze and identify art works on the basis of its cultural and contextual qualities.
  3. Analyze and interpret about various western artists.
  4. Read and analyze works of 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th century western art.
  5. Develop knowledge to critically visualize a work of art and will also be able to write efficiently on the works of the western artist.

The students will be able to-

CO 108: Develop an understanding of various art movements and its artists.

 

CO 109: To look for further education in Western world by getting deeper knowledge of the history of western art.

 

CO 110: Get accustoms with western art jargon which will help them to be an art historian, art curator and art critic.

 

CO 111: Get an understanding of various mediums, techniques and skills while reading the art works of various artists and can utilize the knowledge gained in their respective art works.
