Indian Contemporary Art (Theory)

CO1: Identify the idea of modernism in the Indian context. Understand the initiative of contemporary Indian art through assessing artists and their art works. To build the critical awareness and advantage of Indian art.

CO2: Articulate the evolution in contemporary art through artists’ works, their style and painted subjects in Indian art. of new mediums in modern artworks. 

CO3: Explore the idea of installation art to understand the use of various materials and space.

CO4: Aware of the digital trends and introduce new media in Indian art to understand the digital influence.

CO5:    Understand the significance of tradition and cultural identity. Evaluate and accept the importance of Indian traditional art. Get the knowledge of the contribution of artists in turning and developing society, politics and environmental issues in India.
