The course will enable the students to proficiently display their acquired sculpting skills at an artists’ studio or foundary in turn making them employable artists for various regional and national art studios. They will be able to recognize and fulfil the needs of different organizational management works. COURSE CONTENT:
Students will be required to undergo three months practical training under a renowned artist, artisan or craftsman. The training is an opportunity to gain work experience in an area of interest and it is mandatory. Students have to select a particular area of their interest like Stone carving, wood carving, metal casting, ceramic, terracotta, glass sculpture, plaster casting, mixed media sculpture etc.
The student will also make a detailed report of the day to day work and attach her own photographs of the learning stages. She has to submit the same to the teacher mentor and will take a viva-vice to clear the paper.
