Objective: 

The course will enable the students to Understand and illustrate each stage of a life-study from initial outline to the subtle tones and textures of the finished work through diverse techniques. Perfect in sketching and drawing by developing observation and understanding of the human structure. Exemplifying and exploring dry medium –Charcoal, Dry pastels, Pen/Pencil, etc.

Life Study (Practical)

CO145: Understand, Observe and analyse the characteristics of figures and produce step by step sketches.

 

CO146: Prepare a submission and showcase their observational skills on life studies in the given medium.

           

CO147: Identify basic skills of drawing from the live model which includes deep observation and examine through measurement, contour, massing, volume and rendering illumination through value. Develop the skills of proportion to measure size, shape and position of the human body through drawings.

 

CO148: Interaction based on exploration of different colour mediums, prospective and different techniques by fulfilling the global needs of life study.

 

CO149: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.

COURSE CONTENT:

Study from full figure with emphasis on delineation of the Structure and the character. Composition of figure in different settings, emphasis on development of personal style.

Submission:   3 Works in Dry medium and 4 works in Water Colour or any wet medium
