The students will - CO11: Learn about the constituents of clay, kneading it into pliable medium of art. Recognizing its moisture level and its strength through the drying process.
CO12: Understand handling of clay and its techniques: pinching, scraping, rolling etc.
CO13: Have hands on experience of firing clay into terracotta works. Understand the kiln and the technicalities associated with it.
CO14: Develop a sense of 3D structure by observing the object from various angles.
CO15: Recognize the various tools and its usages. Practicing handling of tools to recreate forms and its textures in clay. |
Approach in teaching: Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.
Learning activities for the students: Sketching, lay outing of composition, Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks, Field practical, handling of clay and tools. |
