Objective: 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course will enable the students to:

  1. Develop visual literacy and observation.
  2. Understand how to carving and engraving a technically accurate face, construct a head and its features.
  3. Exemplify the drawing concepts such as negative shapes and rhythms, which will help to create a more accurate, yet natural-looking looking.

The students will –

CO64: Explore and perceive drawing skills of portraits in printing.

CO65: Students will strengthen perceptive and inventive printing (aquatint) skills.

CO66: Learn which type of tools and printing technique to use in realistic and abstract portraits making.

CO67: Implement more realistic and 3dimensional art work in portrait.

CO68: construct and customize the portraits.

Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Tutorials, Reading assignments, Demonstration.

Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks.

A student has to prepare portrait based composition in any technique of print making
