Objective: 

The course will enable the students to Building emphasis on the drawing character and making them understand and illustrate each stage of a portrait from initial outline to the finished work in individual style. Analysis and demonstrates technical details and measurements in detail. Exemplifying and exploring varied mediums – Acrylic color, Pen/Pencil, Charcoal, Dry/Oil pastels, Mixed-media, Oil colors, Water colors, etc.

Portrait (Practical)

CO13: Make a layout of a model with their skill while observing and analysing the features and shadows of the model with appropriate medium.

 

CO14: Construct drawings in proper measurement and prepare a submission with global needs used in a person's portrait to make in given mediums.

 

CO15: Develop a skill for face rendering considering its proportion, expression and resemblance while making an accurate portrait (denotative form).

 

CO16: Justify given submissions of portraits which prioritize the character and validate the necessary elements like proportion, balance, background and foreground etc.

COURSE CONTENT:

 

Advance study completes with the foreground and the background, character of the portrait and the expression, composition in different settings, development of personal style.

 

Submission:   7 works in Oil colour/ Acrylic/ Mix medium (Half Imperial canvass)

5 sketches of portrait study per day
