Objective: 

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

The course will enable the students to-

  1. Understanding of materials, tools and methods of Printmaking.
  2. Introductory study of relief print with practical exercise in class
  3. Skilled in creating textures according to the surface according to the matrix. 
  4. Understand different methods of printing i.e spooning and machine print.
  5. Expertise in valid possibilities and limitations of printmaking materials.

(Practical)

The students will -

CO62: Recollect knowledge of relief and intaglio printing technique.

 

CO63: Analyze art work of colored print of eminent artist.

 

CO64:  Prepare layouts for both black/white and colored prints by using textures to different objects /layout etc.

 

CO65:  Understand Registration process for taking multiple colored prints from light to dark colour scheme.

 

CO66:  Construct the process of taking multiple editions of prints hands and printing press.

 

CO67:  Mack and caption with editions of artist proof and final prints, title, medium & Framing.

 

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.

 

Learning activities for the students:

Sketching, lay outing , Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks,  Field practical, handling of matrix, printing press and tools, giving tasks to create sketches, layouts.
