Objective: 

The course will enable the students to develop an understanding of the printmaker’s work in respect of style, technique and subject matter. It will improve the skills in developing their own individual style which they are influenced by the chosen artist’s technique and method. They will portray it in an effective way for exhibiting the works done.

Study Of Western Master Printmaker (Practical)

CO11: Plan and Develop skills and ideas by making layouts and sketches interpreting the medium, understanding       the chronological methods of master artist’s printmaking.

CO12:        Compile and present her final works showcasing the chosen master printmaker’s technique and idea.

CO13: Validate and justify their reasoning behind choosing the artist and exemplify his technique.

CO14: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.

Approach in teaching: Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Tutorials, Reading assignments, Demonstration

 

Learning activities for the students: Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks.

Layouts & Sketches, Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End Examination s, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submissions

COURSE CONTENT:

The student will select a western artist and study his/her art work.

Submission:

The student will make a file of a particular artist including his/her biography, style of making art work, details of major art works and what makes him/her different.Copy of 2 Art Works (12’’x18’’)
