Objective: 

The course will enable the students to distinguish between the works from Ancient Egyptian to Roman empire with respect to the style of work. Develop an understanding of how art changes according to social political change.

CO47: Exploring the cultural and social practices of the Egyptian civilization and how art reflected that. Analyze their medium, technique and construction strategies. 

CO48: Evaluate the technique of ancient Greek pottery and the beginning of experimentation with the human body in sculptures. 

CO49:  Identify the rules and classical structures of Classical Greeks and the art of it. Analyze the rule-bound technical advancements in paintings, sculptures, and architecture. 

CO50: Analyse and evaluate style, identity, and subject matter of individual Hellenistic artists and prominent sculptures.

CO51: Recognize the grandiosity of Roman art and its separate identities as architects, relief sculptors and painters.
