The World of Far Eastern Art

The students will-

CO99:  Trace the origin of Far Eastern Art to examine evolution of art in Far East society.

CO100: Develop skills to appreciate Far Eastern art considering its subject, style and techniques to understand how history influences art.

 

CO101: Distinguish between the works of each era with respect to their style and aesthetic so they can work as curators at museums and art galleries.

 

CO102: Critically analyze major periods, artists, methods and theories in their historical and cultural settings to critique on the far eastern art.

CO103:    Develop a creative eye to appreciate Far Eastern art considering its subject, style and techniques to later

incorporate it in writing.

 

CO104:  Demonstrate skills to read art works critically and apply them in reading artworks of their contemporaries.

Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Tutorials, Reading assignments, Demonstration of writing and visualizing.
