Session on Western Fresco Art during ‘17th Abhivyakti Ek Prayas’ The Annual Art Exhibition at Jawahar kala Kendra, jaipur

To engage the students during the annual Art Exhibition held at Jkk, an art discussion was held in the gallery. Students from sculpture especially participated in this session and talked about the "Western Fresco Art" in which the teachers of the department initiated with the meaning, techniques, style, subject matter and the bright and vibrant colours which was used to perform fresco art. The way natural colours were extracted from minerals and were used by artist to make huge fresco's. The students took the head and gave certain examples of the great SISTINE CHAPEL of Michelangelo in which huge wall fresco was made and how Michelangelo focused on the hyperrealism of anatomy. He was the perfect example and the legendary figure who made the world's most famous fresco. This session was exciting and informative for the students to retain information in better way as the process is enjoyable and memorable.
