Objective: 
  • Capturing conceptual creative images using a contrived approach.
  • Learning to document relevant social customs and traditions and also contemporary issues like social evils, unemployment, flood, famine, lack of basic amenities for the masses, illiteracy etc.
  • Understanding digital corrections like sharpening, histograms, saturation, white balance and contrast control.
  • Understanding available light and learning to capture images effectively in ambient light.
  • Getting to understand artificial light sources and light shaping tools to highlight object characteristics like form and texture.
  • The human factors to consider while shooting formal and informal portraits.
  • Exploring possibilities of applying digital image capture to various fields of interest ranging from Portraits to the Abstract, Wide angle scenic to the stunning details of Macro shots.
  • Understanding product characteristics to plan a perfect shoot. Developing the skills to translate a client's brief into an acceptable set of images.
  • Understanding technical limitations of photography in certain situations and find alternate viable solutions to improve efficiency and final quality of output.
  • Creative seeing and visualization. Knowledge of present day industry standards and expectations and the day-to-day changes in benchmarks.
  • Learning, discovering and identifying one's own inclination towards a specialization in one of the many avenues open in the imaging industry.
  • Developing skill sets to be able to prepare a meticulous presentation of one's work, both in the form of a soft copy and prints.
  • Mastering color management and color profile to be able to make consistently high quality prints of exhibition standards.
  • Learning to calculate light balance and lighting ratios with the aid of an ambient light meter and a flash meter.
  • Organizing and managing visual inputs in a system with the help of Adobe Light room software.
  • Understanding tonal qualities and tonal range. Applying high dynamic range to achieve dramatic effects.
  • Learning to frame a subject in an interesting perspective.
