Objective: 

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

The course will enable the students to-

 

  1. Gain an understanding of ancient art history.
  2. State the difference between Prehistoric caves of India and Europe.
  3. Read and Analyze prehistoric art of India, Europe and Egypt.
  4. Ability to interpret the Prehistoric culture in the present day context.

The students will -

 

CO23: Reflect an understanding on art terminology.

 

CO24:Develop knowledge to recognize, distinguish and describe art done in the ancient period.

 

CO25:Develop skills to place ancient art chronologically.

 

CO26:Enhance knowledge and analyze the development of art with respect to artistic skills, cultural, ethical and societal perspective.

 

 

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Tutorials, Reading assignments.

 

Learning activities for the students:

Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks.

 

Semester end examinations, Continuous Assessment Test, Quiz, Solving problems in tutorials, Assignments, Presentation, Individual and group projects, regular submission.
