COURSE OBJECTIVES:

The course will enable the students to-

  1. Learn to develop a portrait demonstrating technical details and measurements.
  2. Understand and illustrate all developmental stages of a portrait
  3. Explore various mediums, techniques and surfaces to develop personal style

The Students Will -

CO26: Create the sketches and portrait on daily basis to enhance the artistic skills

CO27: Develop live portraits or from photographs with proper delineation of features to get the resemblance

CO28: Combine the artistic and observational skills to make the portraits with perfect anatomy and meet the expectations of the clients

CO29: Construct the portrait in designing software's for giving additional effects through filters to make it look distinctive

CO30: Modify the features by simplifying or exaggerating to develop the portrait in the form of caricatures or cartoon

CO31: Develop a personalized style of creating portraits to establish herself as a brand and get the recognition in the market

Approach In Teaching:

Tutorials, Ideation, Selection, Development, Debriefing

 

Learning Activities For The Students:

Lateral Thinking, Self-Learning Assignments, Giving Tasks, Experimenting

Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End Practical Examinations, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction And Final Submissions

 

COURSE CONTENT:

Study of portrait from life, delineation of the structure and the character of head, study of features, study of light and shade, in any medium

Submission:   10 Portraits

                        50 Outdoor Sketches on ½ Imperial sheets.
