Objective: 

The course will enable the students to constructing original compositional artworks that embody their accumulated knowledge of art. They are encouraged to showcase their unique thought process by employing both geometric and organic forms. Through their creations, students aim to produce artworks that vividly illustrate their individual aesthetics, effectively capturing the essence of art properties such as balance, rhythm, emphasis, and movement.

Creative Composition  I 

(Practical) 

CO19: Create layouts and maquettes drawing from a deep understanding of artistic principles and elements, integrating geometric and organic forms to express individual concepts. Generate significant creative compositions based on personal preference to engage in critical analysis of your aesthetic sense.

CO20:  Prepare a portfolio by composing artwork that exemplifies your individual concept, utilizing figurative forms to express through the human body and manipulate its form. Experiment with various art mediums to discern the visual language each medium conveys.

CO21: Create sculptures that demonstrate astute observation and insightful analysis of compositional qualities like balance, rhythm, perspective, etc., creatively integrating them into diverse forms.

CO22: Justify the comprehension of composition, concepts, self-expression, creativity, and visual communication skills for creative composition.

CO23: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.

Approach in teaching:

Tutorials, Ideation, Selection, Development, Debriefing.

Learning activities for the students:

Sketching, lay outing of composition, Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks, Experimenting

Layouts and Sketches, Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End Examinations, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submissions.

COURSE CONTENT:

Student will prepare a creative composition using synthetic medius in his own style. The student can make environmental sculptures, installation art, and direct metal sculpture by different processes such as welding, riveting.

SUBMISSION: 3 works of 2’ minimum
