Objective: 

The course will enable the students to utilize their understanding of materials and textures to innovate and advance the language of their sculptures. Observe, analyze, and interpret the evolution of sculptures over time. Additionally, they will learn tool handling, surface treatments, and other techniques to deepen their artistic skills and knowledge.

Creative Composition II

(Practical) 

CO42: Create layouts and maquettes to critically manipulate figurative and non figurative forms, engaging in the process of constructing a personal style and expression through the medium.

CO43: Prepare a portfolio analyzing selected artists and compositions to refine your aesthetic. Customize mold-making and casting processes for artwork needs, considering positive and negative space, eye level, and background colors for critical sculpture presentation.

CO44: Create artwork integrating the concept of rhythm, motion, and three-dimensional depth to convey your thought processes in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

CO45: Validate their proficiency in expressing creative composition and articulate their learning experience in preparing original compositions.

CO46: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, 

Learning activities for the students:

Sketching, lay outing of composition, Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks, Field practical, handling of tools, machines, and casting and molding equipment

Layouts and Sketches, Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End Examinations, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submissions.

COURSE CONTENT:

Student will prepare a creative composition using synthetic mediums in his own style. The student can make environmental sculptures, installation art, and direct metal sculpture by different processes such as welding, rewetting. 

SUBMISSIONS: 3 works of 2’ minimum
