Objective: 

The course will enable the students to create original artworks that demonstrate their comprehensive understanding of art. Express unique ideas by employing the human head form, and generate pieces that reflect individual aesthetics, integrating elements like balance, rhythm, emphasis, and movement.

Creative Portrait II

(Practical) 

CO143: Evaluate self-expression and creativity through layouts and sketches, analyzing the observation, interpretation, and portrayal of forms. This process creatively demonstrates original ideas through the representation of the human head.

CO44: Create a portfolio showcasing individual concepts expressed through portrait forms, utilizing the human head and manipulating its form. Explore various art mediums to discern the unique visual language communicated by each medium.

CO45: Assess creative portraits, evaluating personal aesthetics and market viability to establish oneself as a distinguished artist.

CO46: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction. 

 

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration

Learning activities for the students:

Sketching, lay outing of composition, Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks, Field practical, handling of tools, machines, and casting and molding equipment.

Layouts and Sketches, Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End Examinations, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submissions.

COURSE CONTENT:

Student will prepare a creative portrait in his own styles using different techniques and mediums.

 

SUBMISSIONS: 4 works of size 18 inches minimum

 

Note:The Exam will be conducted of 30 hours that will include 1 Portrait in life size and 2 other

Mesquites in creative portrait to be completed. The size for the machete should not be less than 9 inches.
