Objective: 

The course will enable the students to develop understanding of the bones and muscle structure of Human limbs. They will be able to recreate the composition in clay from a live model’s limbs and analyze their movement, position, texture and proportions.

CO81: Construct observation by articulating limbs anatomy through sketches. 

CO82: Prepare submission Identify basic skills of sculpting from the live model to improve their deep observation skills.  Keen examination of form through measurement, massing, volume and rendering through value to construct exact anatomical sculptures.

CO83: Create a study of limbs from Life model  an understanding of the bone structure, muscle distribution of limbs to predict the armature and volume of clay to be added on the sculpture. 

 . 

CO84: Defend the understanding of limbs on the skill set developed  in the class according to market needs and establish herself as a sculptor. 

CO85:  Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction. 

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.

Learning activities for the students:

Sketching, layouting of portrait study, Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks, Field practical, handling of various mediums of art.

Layouts and Sketches,Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End Examinations,Daily Assignments,Observation,Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submissions.

COURSE CONTENT:

Study of Hand, Palm and Leg, Head, Skull from life, delineation of the structure, character and study of features.

 

SUBMISSIONS: 5 Works in Life size

  5 Sketches per day
