The course will enable the students to understand the basic elements and principles of art. The students will apply them to a specific aesthetic intent. They also gain an understanding of ancient Indian rules of art history.

Fundamentals of Visual Arts (Theory)

CO1: Interpret and exemplify on Art description and defining in accordance to aesthetic value made by Indian and Western Scholars.

 

CO2: Develop the observation pattern about the visual language, and understanding the functionality of applied art, painting and sculpture.

 

CO3: Classify and compare various elements of art: Line, Color, Tone, Texture and Space and Form

 

CO4: Judge the principles of Composition: Unity, Balance, Harmony, Rhythm, Proportion, Dominance and Perspective.

 

CO5: Analyse the Indian form of Folk Art and knowing the local interpretation of Art acceptable in masses.

 

CO6: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction
