Objective: 

The course will enable the students to classify Roman and Gothic type, their Anatomical detail. Student will learn the formation of letter and identify the tools and techniques of calligraphy. Create own typographical designs.

CO12: Develop a balanced and harmonious layout that integrates the anatomy of typography and calligraphy while incorporating the visuals.

 

CO13: Experiment with unconventional uses of type to create compelling and innovative designs that reflect personal creativity and design preferences.

 

C014: Combine multiple typefaces within a single design to create a clear and effective hierarchy through size, weight, and style variations.

 

C015: Analyze the cultural significance of typography and develop the ability to critique typographic choices in projects and establish herself as a typographer.

Formation of Letters, Basic type Fonts, Introduction to Typography & Calligraphy, Slogan writing in Roman/Gothic with pictorial forms.
