Antique Portrait Study (Practical)

The students will - CO15: Review and revise through recreation various intricacies of an antique portrait to acquire skills like the old masters. CO16: Develop an understanding of tools and mediums used by the chosen time period to trace evolution of tools over time. CO17: Recognize the different aesthetics of the various ancient civilizations and how their iconographydeveloped to practice facial features and portraitures of each era. CO18: Solve the complicated molding casting process by step by step following procedures as imagined on the original. CO19: Analyse features of the portrait to identify the beauty standards of various eras. CO20: Simulate similar surface textures and color to replicate the chosen figures. |
Approach in teaching: Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.
