Antique Study (Full Life)

 

 

The students will -

CO67:  Review and revise through recreation various intricacies of an antique figure to learn the method of the artist; his or her manner of approach, the composition sense and technique.

 

CO68: Sculpt with the similar vigor and manner in which the artist has made the work to learn while replicating their method of sculpting

 

CO69: Develop a full size figurative artwork understanding proportions and human body to demonstrate techniques and use of tools according to the size.

 

CO70:  Recognize the different aesthetics of the various ancient civilizations and how their iconography developed to practice  iconography of each era

CO71: Solve the complicated molding casting process by step by step following procedures as imagined on the original.

 

CO72: Simulate similar surface textures and color to replicate the chosen figures.

  

 

 

 

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.

 

Learning activities for the students:

Sketching, lay outing of portrait study, Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks, Field practical, handling of various material and mediums of art.
