The course will enable the students to translate a 3D design into 2D through various compositions, respond to problems creatively and expressively, and develop designs utilizing the knowledge of colors, elements, and principles of composition.
COURSE CONTENT:
To develop an understanding of the elements and principles of design through various practical exercises. Study of two-dimensional space and its organisational possibilities; behaviour of force and energy contained in line, form, colour and texture; knowledge of primary, secondary, tertiary and complementary colours and their relationships. Introduction to the technical terms related to colour theory.
Introduction to the art of beautiful handwriting i.e., Calligraphy (Italic) Study of letterforms, basic types, study of their formal aspects, proportion, weight and inter relationship of positive and negative space. Study of Gothic and Roman and Devanagari.
