Objective: 

The course will enable the students to construct well-balanced compositions, artists should explore the basic elements and principles of art, illustrate tempera techniques on Vasli sheets, and acquire drawing skills through detailed observation by studying objects through measurement, contour, mass, volume, and illumination. Explore mediums like poster colors, mineral/stone colors, and watercolors to enhance their creative expression.

Composition (Practical)

CO12: Produce a step-by-step progress report through layouts, sketches exemplifying use of compositional properties.

CO13: Formulate a submission displaying their skills of wasli preparation and composition sense in given mediums to develop a global language of art.

CO14: Produce artworks displaying observation and analysis of compositional properties like balance, rhythm, perspective etc and exemplify them in chosen medium in order to become employable artists.

CO15: Validate her attained skills of composition developed in the class through a viva.

CO16: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.

COURSE CONTENT:

Compositional exercise based on various objects with a view to transform them into 2D/ 3D pictorial images on sheet. Developing an awareness of the pictorial space, division of space and form.

Submission: 2 works in wasli & 2 in other medium + 15 Layouts 1 work in home assignment,5 sketches of study per day
