Objective: 

The course will enable the students to- 

 

  1. Students will construct min 3 compositions showcasing their artistic sensibilities
  2. Execute a 3D work going through the whole process of armature building, clay modeling, mould making, casting, and finishing.
  3. Understand the workings of fiberglass materials, its different chemicals and its science.
  4. Execute real or implied textures and surface handling according to their individual ideas.

The students will-

 

CO193: Composing an artwork that enables self-expression, their understanding of themselves and aesthetic to adapt to expressing through art.   

 

CO194: Break down all the properties of art like proportion, emphasis etc by rethinking, arguing and validating their role in their sculpture to construct a deeper understanding by experiment with the properties 

 

CO195: Build, link, morph forms to enhance their visual language vocabulary. 

 

CO196: Debate the socio political scenarios going on around them and use them to fuel up their imaginations to practice using art as medium of change in society. 

 

CO197:Practicing and experimenting different techniques of mold making, more complex processes to be able to contribute in professional studios and self-works as well.

 

CO198: Cast sculptures in as many different materials as possible, to experiment and gain technical knowhow of mediums that are being used by their contemporaries. 

 

CO199: Mix and Experiment with different surface treatments, to observe the various effects that colors, polishes and abrasives provide to the sculpture.
