  2. Importing footage, including video, audio, and still images
  3. Creating special effects using the Effects menu
  4. Creating animation for shapes, objects, and layers
  5. Adding and animating text
  6. Drawing shapes
  7. Animating shapes
  8. Creating and using masks and track mattes
  9. Working in 3D
  10. Using the puppet tools to create animated characters and effects
  11. Extracting and removing objects from layers
  12. Exporting to video
