Objective: 

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

The course will enable the students to-

  1. Identify, choose and summarize the topic for research.
  2. Use of research methodology for final dissertation.
  3. Apply knowledge of primary and secondary resources, framing of language, synopsis writing, mind mapping, plagiarism, proper chapterisation, citation and references for effective research.
  4. Determine the conclusion of the topic.

Dissertation (Theory)

The students will-CO105: Professionally employ the research tools and apply the academic writing skills to elaborate and write the content on the selected topic.

CO106: Interpret, analyze and breakdown the gathered information to compile and synthesize it in the specified chapters.

CO107: List the referred sources used for collecting the information in the form of references, citations, bibliography to meet the ethical requirements.

CO108: Defend the personal opinion through a derived conclusion and communicate the findings in an effective way to the readers and listeners.

CO109:Solve existing research issues and facilitate options of further research in their topic while honestly reporting data to get in the good habit of ethical research practices.

 

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Tutorials, Reading assignments, Demonstration of writing and visualizing.

 

Learning activities for the students:

Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving writing tasks.

 

Class test, Semester end examinations, Quiz, Solving problems in tutorials, Assignments, Presentation, Individual and group projects, regular submission.

CONTENT:

The students will have to submit the final Dissertation in five copies along with a soft copy in CD with the practical submission.
