Objective: 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course will enable the students to:

  1. Identify, choose and summarize the topic for research by selecting an appropriate title.
  2. Develop research methodology to be followed for final dissertation.
  3. Apply knowledge of primary and secondary resources, framing of language, synopsis writing, mind    mapping, plagiarism, proper chapterisation, citation and references for effective research.
  4. Evaluate the practical and theoretical knowledge gained to conclude the topic.

Dissertation (Theory)

The students will –

CO58: Get knowledge and apply code of conduct ethics of Research.

CO59: Search & access topics related to art field.

CO60: Review and analyze the existing literature and find the scope for further research on the selected topic.

CO61: Summarize the aims & objectives of the chosen topic.

CO62: Plan & execute the research.

CO63: Integrate theory and practice for chapter division

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Tutorials, Reading assignments, Demonstration of writing and visualizing.

 

Learning activities for the students:

Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks.

 

Class test, Semester end examinations, Quiz, Solving problems in tutorials, Assignments, Presentation, Individual and group projects, regular submission.

 

COURSE CONTENT:

The students will have to submit the synopsis at the end of this semester. The viva will be taken by the external jury members.

Note:

1.       The student will decide two/ three topics and a broad outline of research within fifteen days of the commencement of the semester with assigned guide. All the faculty members will give approval for the topic after the discussion on third week of the semester.

2.       The students will have to submit the Synopsis report with the practical submission.
