Objective: 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course will enable the students to-

  1. Develop visual literacy and observation.
  2. Understand different methods of Intaglio printing.
  3. Learn how to define carving within a print.
  4.  Develops artistic works that demonstrate an understanding of technique, process, tools, and materials in a variety of media.

Etching (Practical) 

The students will -

CO17: Understand and purposely apply the concepts of design to create meaning of artwork.

CO18: Explore use of variety of brainstorming techniques to compose composition.

CO19:   Exemplify different types of acid and its reaction with plates of diverse types.

CO20: Compose and exhibit a collection of work that represents attitudes, knowledge and skills which demonstrate an advanced level of competency in visual communications.

 

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Tutorials, Reading assignments, Demonstration.

 

Learning activities for the students:

Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks.

 

Semester end examinations, Continuous Assessment Test, Quiz, Solving problems in tutorials, Assignments, Presentation, Individual and group projects, regular submission.
