  2. Choose appropriate surface and medium for illustration to attract the target market

The Students Will -

 

CO38: Develop & experiment with the sketching skills and create multiple preliminary drawing to get an idea on visual representation of the story

 

CO39: Develop a personalized style of illustration to establish herself as a brand and get the recognition in the market 

 

CO40: Identify & apply the material and printing techniques that can be used to enhance the presentation of the story book in a unique way to attract the customer

 

CO41: Choose the appropriate colour medium or designing software to create illustrations justifying the client brief and target audience requirements

 

CO42: Organize various elements of art for creating an aesthetically appealing illustration to enforce the customer to buy the story book 

 

CO43: Apply design principles to  maintain harmony and balance between the text and illustration to enhance the clarity and avoid  clutter 

 

CO44: Identify and finalize the printing process & paper type  to get the dummy ready for final approval  from the client

COURSE CONTENT:

 

  • Exercise 1 Students will prepare 15 illustrations (15 pages of 9”x11” size) for a storybook in any medium and technique and write the text, with a suitable cover page.
  • Exercise 2 A similar kind of book will be prepared using different computer software and submitted in a finished form
