The course will enable the students to-

  1. Apply the knowledge of creating identical characters using tint, tone and shades.
  2. Identify the dominating feature of the character which is to be highlighted in the caricature
  3. Modify the characters by adding satire to make it look noticeable

The Students Will-

CO68: Assess the characteristics of the personality and identify the features to be distorted and highlight the same to make their appearance funnier

CO69: Experiment with the sketching skills and distort the features to create a caricature as per the requirement of the content

CO70: Combine the design elements for creating the final sketch to be rendered and get the approval from client

CO71: Identify and select the appropriate technique and surface for further development of caricature

CO72: Analyze the scope of caricature and create personalized caricature for clients and caricatures to support editorial content in magazine and newspaper

CO73: Develop personal style to exaggerate or simplify the characteristics of the person and get recognition in the market from her own style

COURSE CONTENT:

  • Exercise 1: Students will prepare caricature drawings (10”x 15” size) using different mediums and techniques on paper, based on topical social and political events (5 manual).
  • Exercise 2: The students using different computer software will prepare a similar kind of ten caricature drawings of 10”x15” size (5 digital).
