Objective: 

The course will enable the students to understand the structure, proportion, balance, compositional sense, rhythm etc. of a human body from every angle. They will able to replicate the life study of a live model in clay understand the 3 dimensionality of a human body.

CO145: Construct & dramatise identical characters by articulating their anatomy through sketches clearifying their ideas.

 

CO146: Prepare a submission develop an understanding of human proportions with respect to its head as a unit so as to construct a proper armature according to the live model, mould and cast according to global industry standards.

 

CO147: Create a life study of a live model displaying an understanding of human body proposition, structure etc

 

CO148: Defend the understanding of life study on the skill set developed and establish herself as a portrait artist.  

 

CO149: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction

  

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.

Sketching, lay outing, Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks, Field practical, handling of various mediums of art.

Layouts and Sketches, Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End Examinations, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submissions

 

 

COURSE CONTENT:

Process of Life Study: Building of armature, study in drawing and modeling in clay. Understanding of structure and proportion, mould and casting

 

SUBMISSIONS:  1 half-life (sitting) study casted in plaster + 2 study in clay

20 sketches and Drawing
