Objective: 

The course will enable the students to construct a proportionate 3D replica of a live model, replicating not only the features but also the expressions of the model. Analyze and demonstrate technical details and precise measurements to ensure accuracy and realism in the sculpture.

CO80: Construct and emphasize the features of a live model through step-by-step sketches to design an armature and grasp the fundamentals of three-dimensional creation.

CO81: Create a portfolio demonstrating clay modeling skills with emphasis on facial features and character portrayal. Master mold-making techniques for permanent sculptures. Utilize a live model to enhance anatomical understanding.

CO82: Produce a life study showcasing human anatomy understanding. Develop a full-figure study focusing on structural delineation and detailed features. Utilize live models to enhance anatomical knowledge.

CO83: Defend expertise gained from life study, establishing as a portrait artist. Utilize observational skills in clay modeling, focusing on facial features. Master mold-making techniques, enhancing anatomical knowledge through live model studies.

CO84:  Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction. 

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration

Learning activities for the students:

Sketching, lay outing of portrait study, Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks, Field practical, handling of tools, machines, and casting and molding equipment.

Layouts and Sketches, Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End Examinations, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submissions.

COURSE CONTENT:

Study from live model in clay and casting in any medium (plaster/ cement/ fiber/ metal/ scrape)

SUBMISSIONS: 2 works in half-life size
