PORTRAIT (Practical)
The course will enable the students to-
- Analysis and demonstrates technical details and measurements.
- Outlining more minuet details in portraying portrait.
- Understand and illustrates each stage a portrait from initial outline to the finished work through various technique in individual style.
- Building emphasis on the drawing, character and experimentation of different medium.
- Exemplifying and explore varied mediums – Acrylic color, Pen/Pencil, Charcoal, Dry/Oil pastels, Mixed-media, Oil colors, Water colors, etc.

Portrait (Practical) |
The students will - CO113: Understand, Observe and analyze the basic character of a face of model.
CO114: Construct drawings in proper measurement.
CO115: Develop skills for face rendering considering its proportion, expression and resemblance in the building of accurate portrait (denotative form).
CO116: Link harmony between the bust, background and foreground.
CO117: Demonstrate varied mediums in the portrait study in creative manner.
CO118: Develop personal style in the making of portrait. |
Approach in teaching: Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.
Learning activities for the students: Sketching, lay outing of portrait study, Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks, Field practical, handling of various mediums of art. |

COURSE CONTENT:
Advance study complete with the foreground and the background, character of the portrait and the expression, composition in different setting, development of personal style.
Submission: 7 works in Oil colour/ Acrylic/ Mix medium (Half Imperial canvass)
