Objective: 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course will enable the students to-

  1. Analysis and demonstrates technical details and measurements. 
  2. Outlining more minute details in portraying portrait.
  3. Understand and illustrates each stage a portrait from initial outline to the finished work through various technique in individual style.
  4. Building emphasis on the drawing, character and experimentation of different medium.
  5. Exemplifying and explore varied mediums – Acrylic color, Pen/Pencil, Charcoal, Dry/Oil pastels, Mixed-media, Oil colors, Water colors, etc.

Portrait (Practical)

The students will –

CO114: Understand, Observe and analyze the basic character of a face of model.

CO115:  Construct drawings in proper measurement.

CO116:  Develop skills for face rendering considering its proportion, expression and resemblance in the building of accurate portrait (denotative form).

CO117:  Link harmony between the bust, background and foreground.

CO118: Demonstrate varied mediums in the portrait study in creative manner.

CO119: Develop personal style in the making of portrait.

COURSE CONTENT

Advance study completes with the foreground and the background, character of the portrait and the expression, composition in different setting, development of personal style.

Submission:  

7 works in Oil colour/ Acrylic/ Mix medium (Half Imperial canvass)

5 sketches of portrait study per day
