Objective: 

The course will enable the students to understand the structure, proportion, balance etc. of a human face from every angle. They will able to replicate the facial features of a live model in clay understand the 3 dimensionality of a face.

(Practical)

 

CO115: Construct identical Characters by articulating face anatomy through sketches.

 

CO116: Prepare submission displaying their observational skills based on female & male features, head angle, positions, character of head bone structure, muscle distribution etc of a human face to learn to execute them as closely as possible in a 3D medium demonstrating structure of a skull to build an armature, distribute volume of clay execute a plan of mold making, casting in a permanent medium.

 

CO117: Create a study of portraits from life displaying an understanding of the delineation of the structure, character of  head, study of features, muscles distribution etc.

 

CO118: Defend the understanding of head study on the skill set developed

and establish herself as a portrait artist

 

CO119: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction

Approach in teaching:

Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.

COURSE CONTENT:

Head study (male and female)-building of armature, study in drawing and modeling in clay from life.

Understanding of structure and proportion mould and casting
