The students will - CO17: Develop visual literacy and observation. CO18: Explore and perceive drawing skills of portrait in artworks. CO19: Understand how to draw a technically accurate face, construct a head and its features. CO20: Able to construct and study the portrait of live model in varied angles of face in varied mediums. |
Approach in teaching: Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Tutorials, Reading assignments, Demonstration. Learning activities for the students: Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, presentation, Giving tasks. |
Semester end examinations, Continuous Assessment Test, Sketching, layouts, Solving problems in tutorials, Assignments, Presentation, Individual and group projects, regular ,display and submission of artworks. |
COURSE CONTENT:
Study of portrait from life, delineation of the structure and the character of head, study of features, study of light and shade, in monochrome and color with drapery at the background in Pencil, Charcoal, Pastels .
