Relief Composition
|
The students will- CO89: Assess famous contemporary reliefs made by artists of this era and visually deconstruct medium, composition and display sense to understand how famous reliefs are constructed in the world.
CO90: Develop their own sense of style and manipulation of forms to create reliefs that exhibit their unique aesthetic sense.
CO91: Use the concept of storytelling or narrative reliefs to construct a series of interconnected reliefs to use reliefs as a recital tool.
CO92: Demonstrate their high level of understanding of the mediums and techniques to develop a unique way of relief making that matches their style.
CO93: Compose a relief with assembling either man made or natural objects, or pre made manufactured forms to equip themselves with tools of assembling like welding, riveting, gluing etc
CO94: Experiment with various display sense expertly playing with positive and negative space, eyelevel and background colors etc. |
Approach in teaching: Interactive Lectures, Discussion on composition subjects, Tutorials, Videos, Demonstration, Reading assignments.

CONTENT Exam: 25 Hours
Student will compose a relief (low/ high) and cast (if required) in any permanent medium (wood/ metal/ stone/ fiber/ scrape/ waste material)
SUBMISSIONS: 2 works in relief in minimum 4 sq feet.
