The course will enable the students to construct a comprehensive and original research project, formulate the process of academic research, including topic, objectives, methodology, develop abilities in critical thinking, analysis, and synthesis of information from diverse scholarly sources, train students in the practical aspects of research design, instil awareness of ethical issues in research, familiarize students with academic tools and technologies for literature management, formatting, editing, and citation (e.g., Zotero, Mendeley, MS Word formatting tools), searching and finalizing authentic Journals.

COURSE CONTENT:
Significance of Academic Research , choosing a researchable topic and defining objectives, methodology to be used in research, understanding of tools and techniques, purpose and process of reviewing literature, Building theoretical and conceptual frameworks.
Structuring the Research Project (Title, abstract, introduction, Literature review, Methodology, Analysis/discussion and Conclusion), Avoiding plagiarism and maintaining academic integrity.
Citation styles : MLA VIII or IX, use of AI tools like Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote etc (relevant for the project).
Drafting, Editing and Finalizing the Research Work observing the research ethics. (Development of Oral presentation skills through conference participation).
