Stone/ Plaster Carving
(Practical)

CO12: Examine to observe varieties of stones and preparation of plaster block for carving a subject on it through hand held non mechanized tools, create some maquettes and plan to carve on a selected stone.
CO13: Prepare a final composition in stone or plaster block showcasing minimalistic approach to form, executing with various carving tools and techniques, different textures and surface finishes using abrasives of different types to make them employable in regional and national sculpture studios.
CO14: Analyze the environmental impact of carving activities and learn to mitigate the negative effects to work on commissioned projects, understanding client requirements, and delivering customized carvings.
CO15: Defend the understanding of stone or plaster carving methods, tools and process and practices done during the class, justify the knowledge gained through viva-voce before an expert.
CO16: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction
