Objective: 

The course will enable the students to understand the basics tools and effects. They will able to handle and work in software for composition, the usage of Print media and vector based edits and gain knowledge of 3D composition of flat objects.

CO129: Develop layouts for designs and patterns in the software by using various tools and effects in vector based illustrations.

 

CO130: Create a portfolio displaying their software skills to design compositions with appropriate subjects in software by using various effects and styles.

 

CO131: Assess the aesthetic sense and compositional skills in vector designs created in response to market needs and establish herself in the market as an Illustrator expert

 

CO132: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction

Layouts and Sketches, Continuous Assessment Test,  Semester End Examinations, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submissions.

COURSE CONTENT:

  1.  Overview the workspace
  2. Basic tools and techniques
  3.  Working with shapes and text
  4. Drawing with tools and shape manipulation
  5.  Working with colour, gradients and patterns
  6. Working with effects
  7.  Blending and clipping masks
  8. Creating designs and illustrations
  9. Creating web graphics
  10. Printing and Exporting

 

Submission: 15 designs

2 basic compositions using objects and Typography.

2 Conceptual Compositions (landscape, cityscape, environment design)

2 3D design in using 3D tool

2 Still life using gradient, mesh tool, blend and effects

2 thematic designs for Brochure and Poster
