The School of Fine Arts hosted an exciting ad-making competition "Pitch Perfect: From Idea to Impact, Advertise It with Perfection" on October 18, 2024, in collaboration with the Institute Innovation Council (IIC) at IIS (Deemed to be University). This event was intended to test students' presentation, cooperation, and creativity while offering an opportunity to work on imaginative products.

Eleven teams pitched in, each tasked with advertising unique and quirky products, making the task engaging and thought-provoking. On October 16, 2024, participants were given their products and had two days to create an advertisement that would effectively market these distinctive goods. The varied and innovative products were, a "Single Sock" which playfully addressed the common issue of lost socks; "AI-Powered Shoes" which adapts to a user’s style and environment; the humorously impractical "Cold Iron" designed to make ironing fun; a "Reverse Alarm Clock" which simulated a natural sunrise to wake users gently; the intriguing "Rewind Remote" a concept device allowing users to metaphorically rewind time; "Non-Grip Sandals" which focused on comfort rather than traction; "Color-Changing Nail Polish" a playful cosmetic; the "Vibe Magnet" which claims to attract people; "LED Ice Cubes" which add a touch of visual flair to drinks; a "Wobbling Chair" and finally the "Water Pillow" a product promising ultimate relaxation.

Dr. Aditi Jain, the head of the School of Commerce, Department of Business Studies, and Mr. Shwet Goel, an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Arts, were on the panel of judges. Five main criteria were used to evaluate the participants: originality and creativity, message and content, presentation abilities, prop use, and teamwork. Each team brought their unique approach to the competition, with some opting for humorous skits, while others focused on delivering a more thoughtful, reflective tone in their advertisements by utilizing their artistic abilities, media knowledge, and marketing tactics to create attractive and creative advertisements with props, visual aids, and skillfully written narratives.

After a thorough evaluation, the winning team was announced. The team comprised Pari Jain, Gauri Chaturvedi, Divyanshi Gaur, Akshita Sharma, Harshika Sharma, Charu Sawansukha, and Drishti. This group stood out for their exceptional creativity, seamless teamwork, and effective use of props. Not only was their presentation captivating, but it also successfully conveyed a powerful, well-coordinated message that connected with the judges and the audience. Participants in this competition were able to refine necessary skills in public speaking, marketing, and advertising—all of which are crucial in the fast-paced, dynamic business world of today.
