The Expert team reviewed the syllabi of BVA and MVA in Painting, Applied Arts, Sculpture, Print Making and History of Art. As a part of syllabi they assessed the scheme of Examination also and put their suggestions. Being a Deemed to be a University and having a good reputation and Excellency in academics and to save time and provide more time to the students they put some suggestions to be added to examination scheme which are as follows:

• As the subject is professional so it cannot be treated as a regular degree course. The conduction of practical examination of BVA and MVA in both the semesters consume more than three months which can be reduced and utilized as the value added time during the course work of the students. Presently a subject covers a term of 23 to 27 days in a semester and for three subjects these days can be about 69-81. If the conduction of practical examination is reduced at least in one semester like the ODD Semester, more than one month can be saved and utilized in the practical studies.

• The practical examination can be conducted only in the EVEN Semester every year in BVA and MVA in all five streams.

• There should be no conduction of the practical examination but an evaluation of sessional work in the ODD semester examination can be done for which a jury of one local external examiner (Jaipur Based) along with the internal subject teacher can be made. This jury could evaluate the sessional work done during the Odd semester and will mark out of 70 separately and an average of both the examiners will be taken out as the final marks.

• The same process should be followed in the Seminar and Dissertation in MVA in all streams.

• The other suggestion was also put that the practical examination should be conducted in the VIII Semester of BVA (all streams) and IV Semester of MVA in all streams only. There should be internal evaluation only which can be done by the jury of one local external examiner (Jaipur Based) along with the internal subject teacher. This jury will evaluate the sessional work done during the Odd semesters and the Even Semesters and will mark out of 70 separately and an average of both the examiners will be taken out as the final marks.

• The Even Semester can continue with the present process of conduction of practical examination in BVA and MVA.

• The conduction of the examination of theory papers in BVA and MVA (all four streams) can be continued as per the University examination scheme in both the semesters- Odd and Even.

Following suggestions were duly noted:

• For paper code VAF 101 Fundamental of Visual Arts, in Unit I, it was suggested to add Definitions of art given by Indian scholars too including Rabindranath Tagore, Ananda K. Coomaraswamy, Kapila Vatsyayan.

• For paper code VAP/VAA/VAS 502 Aesthetics in Indian Art, in Unit I, it was proposed to add Concept of Beauty based on ancient Scriptures and their relevance to art (acc. To the classical Sanskrit Literature).

• For paper code VAP/VAS 701 Indian Modern Art- I, it was advised to add Contribution, aim and approach of various Schools of Art and artists and development in Calcutta, Madras, Lahore, Lucknow.

• For paper code VAP 704 entitled Composition, it was advised to modify the title and specify its name to the exercise covered in the class. As the subject covers composition based on Landscape/ Cityscape including study of various monuments, buildings, streets and foliage etc., it was recommended to be changed to Landscape.

• For paper code VAP/ VAS 801 Indian Modern Art- II, it was suggested to add more Jaipur artists in Unit V and thus Ramgopal Vijayvergiya, Devkinandan Sharma, Kripal Singh Shekhawat, Govardhanlal Joshi, B.C. Gui, PN. Choyal, Dwarka Prasad Sharma were included in the syllabus.

• Paper code VAA 405 was proposed by faculty of Applied Arts Department of The IIS University to be changed from Screen Printing to Landscape because this technique of printing is not useful in present scenario of digital printing process. And in Landscape students will be asked to accomplish 3 Works of Realistic Landscape, 2 works based on Creative Landscapes and 5 sketches in pastel and colour pencil per day.

• For theory paper code VAA 801 entitled Marketing and Reproduction Techniques, few modifications were put forward to be done in Unit III, IV & V.  Paper title for the course MVA (Applied Art- Specialization in Graphic Design) VAA (G) 425 was proposed by faculty of Applied Arts Department of The IIS University to be changed from Computer Graphics-II to Display Design for which the students will have to prepare 2D design and 3D models for exhibition dome, events etc.

And thus it was recommended to make above necessary changes in the content of all mentioned paper codes and change the Nomenclatures for the following practical papers:

• Paper title for the course BVA (Painting) VAP 704 is changed from Composition to Landscape.

• Paper title for the course BVA (Applied Art) VAA 405 is changed from Screen Printing to Landscape.
