Objective: 

The course will enable the students to identify target markets and apply design principles to create relevant illustrations. They will learn to choose suitable surfaces and mediums to attract their audience and compose written and illustrated content for optimal results.

Graphic Illustration - II (Practical)

CO34: Develop strong sketching skills to conceptualize and plan illustrations for a storybook that can effectively convey the intended message to the target market

 

CO35: Compile a professional portfolio showcasing their ability to creatively interpret and modernize the illustrations in a storybook by combining design principles and elements manually and digitally

 

CO36: Enhance interpersonal communication skills through regular interaction and confidently present the work to an audience, articulating their creative choices and processes and establish herself as an illustrator

Approach in teaching: Interactive Lectures, Discussion,

Learning activities for the students: Self-Learning Assignments, Giving Tasks, Visualization, Experimenting, Sketching to Learn, Free Exploration, Focused Exploration.

Layouts & Sketches, Continuous Assessment Test, Semester End  Examinations, Daily Assignments, Observation, Student Teacher Interaction and Final Submissions

 

 

COURSE CONTENT:

  • Exercise 1 Students will prepare 15 illustrations (15 pages of 9”x11” size) for a storybook in any medium and technique and write the text, with a suitable cover page.
  • Exercise 2 A similar kind of book will be prepared using different computer software and submitted in a finished form
